luke

he has an amazing heart
he loves God
he would rather help people than do anything else

he's been abandoned by his biological mom
he's been disowned by his adopted mom

all i have to offer him is love mixed with tears and a broken heart

they said he's lazy and he shouldn't have come on the trip
they told him to leave his skateboard at home
he bought one so he could give it to one of the kids

thanks bryan, but in truth, anyone who looks at luke with anything but fear will be unable to avoid the glaring light that is the beauty of his growing, caring, curious, sincere soul.

he is, on most days, not least of all today, the only reason [usually God included] that i can continue at lake city.

on some days, though, he is the exact reason i think i can't go on -- because everyone seems to miss his beauty and i don't know what to do with that. i don't know how to hope for his soul when he's surrounded by such dark blindness.

i could go on about luke for at least a day and a half straight so i'll stop now.

thanks though.

i should add that i do appreciate the beauty of seeing beauty where others don't and am thankful and i guess even proud? of the grace given to me that i can recognize this...

i just mainly wanted to point out that seeing luke's soul as a beautiful thing is easy to do. the kid deserves alot of props.
